Okay, so it’s massive, but Tootsies is a Houston institution, and so had to make our list. When the legendary emporium moved to its current 35,000-square-foot location after 25 years in Highland Village, it pulled out all the stops-floor-to-ceiling windows, a 300-foot runway, private party and dining spaces, giant fitting rooms, and, of course, pieces by all the top designers the place built its reputation on when the late Mickey Rosmarin opened shop over four decades ago. ![]() New on the rack: LHD, the retro, Miami-inspired debut collection from owner Laure Hériard Dubreuil. ![]() This “jewel box” shop plays host to both fashion institutions like Chanel and Dior and street-style favorites like Vetements and Yeezy. Bright, textured layers and playful ruffles are par for the course at this shop, which just launched an exclusive JMarie collection of embroidered dresses and tops inspired by the traditions and textiles of Mexico. ![]()
